  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup butter
  • 2 egg(s)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your waffle iron.

  • (Tip: When your waffle iron offers adjustable settings choose a higher setting to make waffles crispier.

Prepare the batter:

  • Place flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt into a large bowl and mix them together with a whisk.
  • Mix milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla together in a separate bowl. Combine the wet mixture with the dry ingredients through gentle stirring until fully mixed. (Avoid overmixing for lighter waffles.)

Cook the waffles:

  • Use butter or cooking spray to lightly coat your preheated waffle iron. Use approximately ½ cup of batter for each waffle during cooking.
